Program Description:
The Polish American Club Scholarship Fund was established in 2007 and awards qualified PAC members and/or their children with funds toward
their full-time undergraduate studies at an accredited Ohio college, university or trade school.
The annual PAC(1) Scholarship
Funding is five hundred dollars, including applicable donations. Funding is intended for tuition, books,
and fees. During the year that the
award is presented the recipient of the PAC Scholarship is required to participate in a minimum
of five hours of volunteer services in support
of the non-profit activities of the Polish American Club.
Restrictions:
Only one member per immediate family may receive a PAC Scholarship/Grant during any given academic year. Same individual cannot receive this
scholarship/grant more than once.
Eligibility:
Applicant must:
• be a child between the ages 17(2) - 25 of a member in good standing of the Polish American Club of Columbus, Ohio or
an Adult Member
in good standing of the Club,
• be a qualified undergraduate student in full-time studies at an accredited college, university, or training school in the state of
Ohio
or
• have been accepted for admission to any accredited college, university, or training school as a full-time student in the state of
Ohio
for the current academic year.
Selection Criteria:
Selection is based on applicants:
• interest in Polish culture
• future goals
• academic excellence
• personal achievements
• involvement in the community (Polish American community in particular)
Application Procedure - Submit:
• Application for one academic year ( APPLICATION FORM ).
• A personal statement. Briefly tell us about your academic path, career goals, and your Polish background or heritage, if any.
(About 2-3 pages maximum)
• Transcripts/report cards of either your senior year of high school or current college.
• Two letters of reference submitted on professional letterhead by a teacher, counselor, advisor, principal, or employer or other
non-family
mentor.

Scholarship notifications are made in writing and presented at PAC’s Wigilia in December.
