Co roku, (zwykle) w druga sobote grudnia, PAC organizuje polonijne spotkanie swiateczne. Na dwa tygodnie przed Swietami Bozego Narodzenia mamy namiastke Wigilii. Kazdy czuje sie zaproszony. Kazdy tez przynosi na wspolny stol, zgodnie z wigilijna tradycja, ulubiona bezmiesna potrawe. Dla usprawnienia poczestunku - na dwoch polmiskach. "Kucharzacy inaczej" przynosza napoje/slodycze/owoce/ bakalie/...

Nasze spotkanie w pieknie udekorowanym Eagle Hall to wspolna modlitwa, dzielenie sie oplatkiem, skladanie zyczen, spiewanie koled, "Polakow rozmowy" przy biesiadnym stole. Zawsze przybywa do nas sw.Mikolaj z wielkim workiem prezentow dla wszystkich dzieci. Bywa, ze "studenci" PACanowa prezentuja swiateczny program artystyczny. Jednym z punktow spotkania jest takze wreczenie Stypendiow PAC.

Spotkanie jest otwarte i bezplatne dla kazdego, nie tylko dla czlonkow PAC. Jedyny bilet wstepu: dwa polmiski z wigilijna potrawa. Dobrze miec jednak przy sobie gotowke (klub nie respektuje kart bankowych), gdyz w czasie spotkania mozna kupic Oplatki ($4/paczke), skorzystac z oferty otwartego baru, wziac udzial w loterii fantowej z bardzo atrakcyjnymi nagrodami. W ten sposob organizatorzy staraja sie pokryc koszty zwiazane z organizacja spotkania. Dodatkowo bedziemy wdzieczni za dotacje (sugerowana stawka: $10/rodzine).

Every year we celebrate Christmastime together at our PAC Wigilia, which is a gathering for all the ages. Everyone will find a feeling of warmth and happiness here that is so very special, and will enjoy the traditional Polish Wigilia's foods on the tables at our potluck meal. Everyone is requested to make a meatless dish to share or bring beverages / sweets / fruits / ... (for better and faster serving on two plates).

In a beautiful designed Eagle Hall we begin with a prayer and the symbolic lighting of the candles and Christmas tree lights. Next, as is our tradition, we hand a piece of oplatek (Christmas wafer) to break with each other as we exchange our warm wishes for the coming year. After Wigilia meal we are treated to a musical performance by PACanow, then sing some Christmas carols and wait for Santa to arrive, bringing gifts for all the children. Each year at Wigilia we announce the winner or winners of our annual PAC Scholarship.

There are reasons you likely will want to have some money in your purse or pocket, as a cash bar with beer and wine will be open, and raffle tickets for prizes as well as additional oplatki ($4/package) will be for sale. Donations will be gratefully accepted at the door. Ten dollars from each able family is just a suggestion. They will be used to help offset our significant costs (children’s gifts, hall rental, party supplies, etc.). We cannot take charge or debit cards. (jm)
